Well never say never. It's been nearly a month since we decided to step back from Direct Current and much has happened. We've received many wonderful notes from faithful DC readers, many of you asking us to reconsider our decision. We've had a chance to mull things over. We stepped outside and took a deep breath (or two). Frankly, fresh air and sunshine aren't all they're cracked up to be. Plus we missed DC, too.
So, after some serious thought we've decided to redesign and restart the Direct Current site (once again) and look to relaunch DC in early September. We're going to streamline the content so we can focus on the artists we really care about. Plus we'll still have our music news updates (ditto on the more focused approach), daily video picks and, of course, our DC New Release schedule.
We'll also be reworking our weekly DC Newsletter, offering a Friday recap of the week's features and new release additions. You'll be able to sign up at the site. If you've already signed up for the old newsletter you're all set.
For now we'd appreciate your feedback and suggestions for the new site. We're still in the design and content mode so your comments are greatly appreciated.
